What do you have engraved on your gun?

On my Glock 21 on the top of the slide I had the words "SLEEP WELL" engraved the full length of the slide with the scales of justice underneath.

Not a great pic. Gun is really dirty.

Also, what are the rules about getting your gun sent in to get engraved? Do you only send the part getting engraved? Or is this something that you do in person FTF?

I've been thinking about doing the same thing, but was sort of owrried of how they may react. I'm going to see if they will do a engraving on my GF's AR lower.

Gun engravers have to have a Class I if they are going to keep you gun overnight. (which is usually the case with extensive engraving jobs). so, on that note, you can send them the whole gun. After the engraving, comes the decision of finishing. Most gun engraver are competent gunsmiths. Thus, they will disassemble, engrave, reblue, & reassemble for functionability. Basically depends on to what degree of engraving job you want.

I wouldn't call myself a religious nut, but certain versus mean a lot to me. I kind of laughed because it's verse "22:2" and it happens to be our 2nd amendment, coincedince?

On my M4gery I have a US flag and a Gadsden snake engraved on the inside of my ejection port cover and my name, city, & state on the lower receiver for when I finally get off my butt and do my Form 1.
