Here's the thing: Both narratives can simultaneously be true, especially dealing with someone with no care for human life. Career thugs know the way to get a pursuit called off is to make it more dangerous (if there was a pursuit, mind you). They'll gladly kill someone if it aids their attempts to escape or just because they felt like it. Or be so blitzed they do it because whatever reason sounded good at the moment. Cant say I would be surprised. Its already well proven that conservatives are evil and never change, and when dirt is dragged up about liberals, either "it was taken out of context" or "my views have changed, I no longer feel that way and that joke/statement was simply in bad taste." And the liberal gets to move on, while the conservative is destroyed.
