A bit irked at the vendor I got this from, but I picked up my PDP Compact today:

No shipping notice, I just happened to decide last night to check the status, only to find it was delivered to my LGS on Monday...

    Looking forward to shooting it.

Where did you find one in stock?

Agreed. Although when I compared it to his PPQ, I felt the PPQ had a better trigger (break and reset).

I thought you were full of :poop: at first, after all the reviews saying the PDP trigger was better, but you were right. The PDP trigger is slightly lighter, but the PPQ reset is much more tactical and enjoyable. Both are great triggers, but I'll give my PPQ the slight edge of being better.

I’ve heard the recoil is “surprisingly snappy”. Any first hand opinions?

I keep going back and forth between “need” and “oh shut up and go buy one already.”
Absolutely not true. I thought WT's shot just fine and felt no difference in terms of recoil than any other modern striker fired gun of it's size.

While these PDP's are pretty light guns (the slide is a bit wider than a PPQ but there are lightening cuts in the slide that make it feel very light) I didn't notice it feeling snappy and i've owned most poly guns out there.
