“Surveillance footage shows that police never tried to open a door to two classrooms at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde in the 77 minutes between the time a gunman entered the rooms and massacred 21 people and officers finally breached the door and killed him,” the San Antonio Express-News reported, noting that the information came from a law enforcement official who was involved in investigating law enforcement’s response to the tragedy. “Investigators believe the 18-year-old gunman who killed 19 children and two teachers at the school on May 24 could not have locked the door to the connected classrooms from the inside.”

The doors are reportedly designed so they can only be locked or unlocked from the outside, and police might have assumed that the door was locked. The report said that it is not known if the door to the classroom where the 18-year-old Hispanic male was holed up was even locked.

This just keeps getting worse, and the a** hats in Washington want to talk about "gun control". How about we talk about an unhealthy reliance upon government, and incompetance, and cowardice instead. Which seems to be much closer to the reason for the high death toll.

Another officer who entered the hallway was Ruben Ruiz of the Uvalde city police. His wife, teacher Eva Mireles, had called him on his cellphone and told him she was bleeding heavily.

“She says she is shot,” he told the officers on the scene.

The video from inside the hallway doesn’t capture what Ruiz did inside the school. But a DPS official told the Tribune that Ruiz was soon escorted away by other officers on the scene.

BTW, his wife bled to death shortly after calling. Just how was he "escorted away"?

So we now know for a fact that the chief had a radio or at least access to one. The whole “I didn’t know dying kids were calling 911” thing is looking really flimsy.
