Anyone wanting to submit stages for consideration for the 2011 Indiana State Championships please do so. I would like to have them digitally submitted by Halloween. The hope is to compile 30 or more stages and pick the best ones. 2011 is a big year and we want to have the best possible stages. The following are things to consider. Do what you can, and the stage can always be and probably will be modified. The designers name will remain on the stage.
The Indiana Section Match has enjoyed tremendous growth in the last five years for a variety of reasons. One of the main reasons is that our stages have always been fun to shoot. We have asked a variety of people to submit stages for the match so that we may pool them and choose the best from the pool for the match. Please keep the following things in mind as you develop your stage or stages for submission.
1) No forbidden actions will be used in the match.
2) Stages should be a shooting challenge not a foot race.
3) All shapes and sizes of people must be able to shoot this match safely.
4) All classes of people will shoot this match.
5) It is a state championship and that level of difficulty should be reflected.
6) No walls will extend to infinity.
7) Can the stage be safely shot?
8) Props must hold up for 300 shooters.
9) Across the ten stages we need a variety of start positions.
10) Resetting the stage must be doable for the RO’s.
11) The more options the shooter has the better the stage.
12) All possible gaming must be thought of for the sake of safety. (gaming is encouraged)
13) Shooting on the move should be available in some stages.
14) A variety of challenges is sought.
15) Can it be built in the time available?
16) Stage needs named and Blazing Saddles is the theme.
17) Be aware of shoot the through.
18) If it rains will the stage still work? Can the targets be bagged? Prone position?
19) Are the necessary props available?
