    Thanks! :D

My first thoughts at 18 when the guy I was dating showed me the first pistol I had ever seen was... "that's pretty cool". BUT then he had to deal with me absolutely spazzing a week later when I realized He Actually Carried It Around At The Mall. EEEEK, a gun in PUBLIC??? Nothing bad ever happens at The Mall! (Now y'all can stop laughing, I didn't get out much when I was younger)

And he patiently let me have my rant, which was probably key to setting the tone as he didn't try to stop me from voicing my opinions**... and then he pointed out that inanimate objects stay inanimate due to various laws of physics (and they don't jump out and start doing silly things just because they happen to be within the vicinity of anyone). The gun thing just became a non-issue for us... he even took it with good grace when I bought the pistol that brought my level of handgun ownership to more than his own.

    ** I'm female, I do <3 my own opinions.
