Found $32 in unclaimed dividends from some old stock.

I've had .50 on there forever. Every couple of years my dad gets all excited and says I have money in there (We share the same name)
It was a state tax refund, and at the time NBD was charging $1 for teller transactions, so it would have cost me .50 to deposit it lol

Great. I got nothing, but my ex wife from 13 years ago who cost me several thousand dollars in bills she rung up right before she left has $11 on it. Figures.

I know I do not owe anybody anything but If I opened that sight......who knows. I would end up paying....

I know this is over a year old, but probably still relevant. Who has really received money? I never have any to claim at the Indianaunclaimed.gov site...even though I think I should, from a tax refund I never got.
unclaimed dot com wants to charge for the search, so of course I am skeptical.

The first time I checked indianaunclaimed, I had $160 on there from an old Duke Energy account. It took a few months, but I did finally receive a check.

I just received my check for $68 today from an old dental insurance refund. I filed the claim about 6 weeks ago.

A "recovery specialist" sent my family a letter a couple of months ago saying there were benefits available to us left over from my mother passing away almost 10 years ago. He talked to my niece and told her he could help us claim the money with a 10% fee taken out. 5 minutes of Google-fu and I found the Indiana Unclaimed website and realized that I could file the claims myself. There were several things out there, for a value of around $4k. Filed all the necessary paperwork a month ago and I'm hoping to get the check before Christmas.

Skimming thru some names similar to my family's, I saw someone who has a refund from Rolls-Royce.
I also saw a relative who owes us money on there...but they only get a small amount back.

The .gov site is legit. I got my $88 from post #4 back in 4 or 5 weeks.
