That said, how much faith can you have in investigators that have sat on this info for nearly five years? How much warmth is even possible in this trail?

Lord, in nearly five years (including a pandemic,) how many pertinent people in this case might have even died?

I apologize for sounding negative, but surely there are others who have believed from day one of this that investigators have way too long held on to their "gotcha" secrets, in the false hope that some local will screw up and say something incriminating. Meanwhile the killer is nothing more than a bad grainy photo.

Sure, I've even been personally confronted by officers over petty things and had thoughts along the lines of "If they only pursued serious cases with the same resources they're wasting on me right now" But I'm not going to give up on them ever getting anything right over my personal feelings/experiences no matter how illogical/naive that may seem.

I'm still 100% behind anything they do at any time toward getting real criminals behind real bars or in execution chambers.

Hopefully they can do some sort of online forensics on this “anthony_shots” character from people who had contact with him. There’s some pretty smart people around here. Maybe some INGO folks could get on this. I would love to see that sick son of a bitch that killed those girls brought to justice.

Ok I just watched the video, and it is early....but where did you come up with they sat on this for 5 years? I did not see that mentioned, could it be they may of just came to knowledge of this and investigated. And because this "shots" guy was doing stuff with this account 5 years its assumed they sat on it? Or am I missing that this shots guy was on one of the girls phone and they had been messaging....? I kind a suspected that at the end but he didn't directly come out and say it. It still sounds like a wild goose chase.....again.

Lord I pray they catch this guy and he lives a looooooooong life behind bars. All of this stupid "defund the police" crap going on. Prosecutors and judges need a boot up their butts and quit manipulating the system. Years ago (20) an old deputy then told me while we were riding together on duty, "any kid going into the system, it is just a way for them to apprentice to being a better criminal". Just a few years ago I had a student on probation that was going back before a judge, he got into a bunch of petty problems and I reminded him of the court date and he told me, "if I get into a bunch of trouble, they'll write off half of it, keep one or two and then slap me on the wrist about those, don't worry". He was right. Heck he was only a sophomore or junior in high school and knew that much about the system.

I'm praying this new cold track will heat up. I did my student teaching in Delphi, have a connection there but even without it, dang it is a nasty world out there.

I am guessing- stress that it is a guess, that they recently found something that could be a connection between the girls and this anthony_shots, then they started to look through the social media connected to this guy and discovered that username had been around in 2016 and 2017.

I've always thought that if there was any social media/electronic contact with the victims, they would have found that out very quickly at the time. So now I think they found out about this guy as a result of the Abby and Libby investigation but there is no clear connection at all. They actually solved dozens of crimes years ago including at least one murder based on information sent to the Abby/Libby tip line. But none of them had anything to do with the case.

That video never said the girls were using social media. It gives no clue as to how this "fictitious profile" came to the attention of detectives.

My cousin's husband was murdered by two boys who only got probation.

My grandfather was murdered sleeping in his bed by his girlfriend. She got less than 10 years and only served 4 I believe. I feel your pain.

But it appears a person tied to that account was in custody in a case Indiana State Police were already investigating. On Feb. 25, 2017, ISP and FBI investigators executed a search warrant linked to the “anthony_shots” account. Their investigation led them to Miami County, according to court documents that have been heavily redacted.


They eventually found a man identified as Kegan Anthony Kline, who is currently 27 years old. Kline told police he’d used social media accounts to talk to underage girls, contacting both people he knew and didn’t know. He told police he would find girls on Instagram and then ask them to talk to him on Snapchat.


According to Kline, he exchanged messages with more than a dozen underage girls and received pictures from them. Kline said he had about 100 pictures from underage girls that were sexual in nature, in addition to about 20 sexually explicit videos.


As part of the investigation, authorities seized numerous electronics, including an Apple iPhone 4, Apple iPhone 3, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S4, a Nextbook Tablet and an iPad Touch. They also examined an iPhone 5c that Kline turned in later.


Police found videos and photos showing underage girls posing nude/partially nude or engaging in sex acts. Some of the files were saved on electronic devices while others were shared in a Dropbox account.


Investigators also recovered full and partial transcripts of online chats through services like Kik and Facebook Messenger; Kline often used a pseudonym “emilyanne45” for some of the exchanges, according to the redacted court documents.


The iPhone 5c, the device that Kline had turned in later to police, had much of its data deleted, according to court documents. The web browser history on the Safari app had been erased as well, although investigators were able to recover some information.


“… the user of the Apple iPhone 5c deleted multiple items off the phone before turning it into law enforcement,” according to the probable cause affidavit. Police executed the search warrant on Feb. 25, while Kline didn’t turn that phone in until Feb. 27.


A digital forensic report showed the user had uninstalled and deleted several apps, including MeetMe, Snapchat and Instagram. In an interview, Kline admitted to using the applications to chat with underage girls.


“The evidence contained in these applications was destroyed when the user delated them from the device before turning it into law enforcement,” according to court documents.


A Samsung Galaxy S5 had been factory reset on Feb. 23, 2017. Investigators recovered some chat messages that referenced “meeting people in Las Vegas and prostitution,” according to court documents.


In August 2020, Kline was charged with 30 felonies, including possession of child pornography, child exploitation, obstruction of justice, child solicitation and synthetic identity deception, according to online court records.


The court documents in Kline’s case are heavily redacted, with information such as internet search history and chat transcripts blacked out. There appears to be no mention of the Delphi murders or any information linking Kline to the case.
