top punch substitute

i need to know if any current in production top punches are suitable to replace discontinued top punch #344 (wadcutter top punch) the cast bullet has a flat nose.

I took one of my extra top punches and chucked it up in the drill press and filed it flat. I use it for all of my SWC bullets. I've also heard of guys using larger nose punches and filling them with epoxy to mold to the specific shape of the bullet nose.
