This reminds me of what happened to a friend of mine's son in the Rensselaer, Indiana school system several years ago.

He was in elementary school, and the teacher was "teaching" the class how WRONG it is to hunt.

My friend's son spoke up and told of his dad hunting deer on their land, that their family eats the meat, and there's nothing wrong with it.

The teacher then ridiculed my friend's son in front of the class, and did her best to get as many of the kids in the class to join in with her and gang up on him.

Needless to say my friend's son came home from school very upset over this.

This is a prime example of indoctrination as opposed to education.
I hope he filed a complaint against that teacher. A teacher has no right to ridicule a child in their class. It is even worse that the teacher brought other kids into it.

My friend didn't file a complaint, but made sure his son knew that the teacher was full of it.

This was years ago, and my friend's son went on to study Forestry in college and wanted to be a forest ranger.
He had a true love for nature and the outdoors and was a good hunter and fisherman.

He was a QUALITY young man, but unfortunately was killed 7-8 years ago at age 21 in an auto accident.

Parents. When your child comes home and describes the type of things posted in this thread, DO NOT JUST LISTEN! Act. :ar15:

And not just by trying to set his/her mind straight. Go to the school. Go to the teacher directly. File the complaint. Go to the department head and the principal. These things go on because WE, not the children don't stand up for truth an unbiased education. :draw:

My kids are all out of HS now and putting themselves through college. All are healthy conservatives. All do know when to keep their mouth shut in class for grades sake (after all, if you fail in college you have to pay to retake the class), but they all know HOW to present their side without endangering their grades. :rules:

Does this mean I did a good job? (BTW, I raised 3 girls on my own from age 5~9 to present .... the youngest just turned 21) Well I hope the answer is yes. But believe me, I caused a lot of waves in the school system they attended. I was the one with the reputation. My kids teachers (according to my kids) shuddered when they realized they had one of my girls in their class. My kids begged me NOT to go to Parent/Teacher conferences as they knew my stand on issues like "outcome based education" and interpretation of the constitution. As well as other socialist/Marxist policies like "sharing" supplies (ask your first grader what is the first thing the teacher does with those supplies you purchased and the kid proudly took to school as his/her POSSESSION?) or punishing the whole class for the actions of one. One of my favorites is when the student is punished because the parent didn't send the signed paper back THE VERY NEXT DAY! :xmad: And the paper was an "A" grade! (The reason given for requiring the signature on a perfect paper was so those who actually got a failing grade wouldn't feel singled out....what a load of crap!)

    But enough :soapbox: for now.

Parents .... get out there and change your school or this country is doomed.

    :patriot:
