What kind of spider is this?

Recluse and widow. They usually only get as far north as Indy, but I'm sure there are exceptions. Spiders are our friends, and jumping spiders especially. They can fake looking intelligent very well. I like them when they play, fake dead while lying on there backs with legs fully extended...

Cat and Miss Daisy both had trouble sleeping last night and needed attention, so I slept late after getting them settled.

Apparently, our rat died inside our kitchen range, so I get to take that apart and retrieve the "body" today. His last hoorah.

That's for sure. When it rains it pours. I've been through a LOT these past few years. Just HORRIBLE luck. It's been a tradition I text a pic from inside a medcheck or hospital to guys from work. "Good Lord, now what?" LMAO! Well, of course, I capped it all off with open heart surgery. I've texted everybody to tell them, "Ok, it's somebody else's turn. I should be good to go for at LEAST a decade". lol

The whole house smells of rotting corpse. I can see why neighbors complain of the smell in these cases. I moved the range outside until I can disassemble it.

I cut these about an inch and a half thick. They should be tasty.
