I just repped a n00b in the welcome threads.. I gave him 2 brownies and 4 green bars.. I'm positive when I repped comp a second ago it gave him 3 brownies or so...

I wonder if the recipient's post count or time on the boards has anything to do with it.

depends on the has marks at the bottom. comp may have been close to another badge which allowed you to see 3 instead of 2
