They still do the whistles. I saw it in a video. It didn't mention any rings.
I have one of those whistles from way back when and I always figured it would be worth a small fortune but now I'm thinking about 5 cents tops.

I have one of those on a tall hill overlooking a large bay at Lake Of The Wood in Canada.....So when we are fishing in the area it is always a treat....LOL

When somebody gets hurt in hockey they take them out of sight just long enough to stitch them up and then it is back in the game.
They could do it a little better if they would just insist on doctors that can skate.
