Lots of ASSume going on in this snark. The feds gave up database management a loong time ago. They learned lessons from McCarthy. LOL They use third parties, it is easier and cleaner. Cannot even be sued for digging into private citizens data because they never possess that data. They get it from everywhere. Credit bureaus, social media, you name it. My daughter in law currently works for a large electronic gaming company. She formerly worked for a large online retail/web services/streaming company and before that the Federal Reserve in electronic security. In her last two positions she has worked very closely wit the NSA and other government spook agencies.

The government has backdoors into everything. If a company has the information you can be assured that the government has it or has ready access to it. That means personal info, personally identifiable info, habits, purchases, posts, and if you have those little spying devices recordings, txts, calls, searches, you name it.
