I tried a 1911 again after 25 years from when I had a couple of bad examples that made me sour on them. Just not my thing and low capacity.

I don't want to go down the 2011 rabbit hole especially given mag prices.

I like the idea of an SAO gun with good capacity, and optic cut and relatively OK priced mags. 229 SAO would seem to meet those qualifications.

What about the SAO Jericho in the classies? It’s SAO, takes CZ 75 mags and has CZ ergonomics. It looks like it could use new sights and you’d have to get it cut for an optic.

A Jericho 941f in 9mm with the Israeli markings. This was a surplus or police turn in weapon and it was obviously carried and used. Has the small dent into the iron sights(pictured below). It is incredibly accurate, even with cheap tula and has eaten everything I've ran through it. Excellent...
