I agree, the issues I have with aches and pains likely is from all the office work I started doing in my early 20s, and not enough exercise.

Part of doing that office work was my Dad not wanting me to work in a factory all my life.

Speaking of feeling like Superman in my younger days. I remember this one time at the zoo, my wife and I were attacked by an angry gorilla. You can't tell by the picture, but I really put the hurt on him and came away victorious. To this day, I swear that gorilla was made out of metal or something, he was really solid!

When your lumbar discs finally rupture (as mine did at 61 yrs. old) .... the neurosurgeon will tell you that it wasn't one 'lifting' episode that caused it.
It's like the proverbial "last drop that caused the glass to overflow". A lifetime of lifting heavy things will eventually catch-up with you !

Morning folks!

My back issues are likely from lifting patients for years without proper equipment. As a one of 2 or 3 guys on the units I got tagged every time someone needed moving. Now there are all kinds of electromechanical devices in hospitals to help but back in the day it was all back power.

Patients are heavy. More so nowadays.
