Good point, Bug. I watched "Miracle " for the 800th time a few days ago, and hearing the malaise speech made me think that Biden seems to be making an effort to channel Carter's "Woe is we" attitude.

Alright. maybe when someone falls for “fraud” this stupid the state doesn’t always have responsibility to “protect” citizens’ rights. So if someone prays on mentally handicapped people, yeah. Sure. Prosecute even fraudsters whose fraud is so stupid that only mentally handicapped people should fall for it. But if it’s that insanely stupid and the defrauded person possesses mental faculties such that they should have known better, maybe we should just call that the fool’s tax.

Maybe if someone tells you that you can vote by tweeting a hashtag, and you tweet thinking you voted, you probably shouldn’t be voting anyway.
