Gonna take off work tomorrow and take some old Eastern Bloc friends to the shooting range at Camp Atterbury.
An old friend from Poland (PPS-43), Romania (WASR-10), and Russia (Mosin-Nagant). First time shooting all three.
Oh-Boy, Oh-Boy....
You'll have a blast with the WASR and the Mosin, those are two of my favorite guns. We have started calling the mosin the "boom stick", you'll see why..
You know its sad... I built a Mosin coffee table and still don't have a Mosin What the hell am I waiting for? (now that they can be found again in LGS) I guess I know what I will be asking from my family for Christmas.
The WASR was fun to shoot. Target at 50 yards and the rounds went high right. So, flipped the target upside-down and shot up the upper right again. The Mosin had a serious kick. I actually have bruises on my right shoulder, but oh, so fun. At 50 yards 2 hit the bullseye and many, many close by. The PPS sucked. I had never had so many jams. I did notice that the original magazine had no issues but a couple after-market magazines would shoot, jam, shoot, jam.. Perhaps the spring is too tight or not tight enough. Had an AWESOME day..
