I bought two today. One beef, one veggie.

Pretty good but nothing special. Took a few times before we found a store with them in stock.

Also... How does one run out of a tortilla based product when you can sell other similar items???

The mexi pizzas use a flat corn tortilla and their tacos use... well, taco shells. They don't make them in-house.

How do those not come in shipments of 5000?
Could be lack of storage space, "just in time" inventory practices, supply chain issues, poor management, blown sales projections, or any number of things. When I worked at TGI Friday's, we got in the raw corn tortillas and either cut them (for chips and salsa) and fried them, or fried them flat for our nachos.

Back in the day, school at the university was across the street from a Taco Bell. Mexican pizzas were a regular part of my diet for a few years. Funny thing is, haven't had one since!

Had a free one of these as a reward in the Taco Bell app. Tried it out. Was OK, but probably wouldn't buy one. My local TB was out of tomatoes so didn't get quite the full "experience".
