What is everyones thought on all this crazy use of sanitizers and cleaners for the emergent of Antibiotic resistant Bugs/Bacteria? Could it make it worse in the long run?

Not trying to create panic just a genuine thought?:twocents:

    but seriously....

There is the potential for that. Hopefully it takes time for these mutations to become widespread (resistant strains are out there now, but what antibiotics, possibly sanitation do is kill off the non-resistant strains and allow the resistant strains to flourish).

I have been making the frequent remark that bacteria bothers me not at all, at this point. My frequent interaction with animals and manure will probably help.

    .
Denaturing the proteins in bacteria and viruses with alcohol is sort of like kill it with fire. Not something easily resisted.

    "For 99.9%..."

...like most things, it's the 0.1% that gets ya.

I'm sure the "function-test the faucet for 0.5 second after taking a dump" crowd will be back to their usual ways by May 15. If not already....
