You think you hate journalist false academics as much as you should, but your really don't.

I've used Qualtrics Surveying at Purdue, and they'd routinely reject results because it's too easy to cook the question. No one wants to live next to a nationalist socialist jihadist dyed hair they/them with a doctorate from a New England ZIP code who has an AR-15, and it ain't the AR-15's fault.

    That's funny.
Loading up my car for a shoot, usually evokes interest, and people asking if they can go shooting 'next time'.
I try to be subtle when loading up for a cowboy shoot, but all my neighbors have caught a glimpse. All are cool except the little d*** next door that tries to be a bully. He KNOWS and speaks to me not.

My neighbor has dogs that bark...all the time...I hate that, not the dogs....I have an AR, they don't know that I have one, so how can they hate me? Am I tempted to shoot the dogs?...can't say.. the owner....can't say....Just irritating!!

I have a third floor walkup.

I do NOT make second trips to load or unload.

If that means belt on, PC on, two backpacks, rifle case, and helmet in hand, well, too bad for the neighbors.

And, well, after seeing me ride a bike around with nods I don't think they're shocked by much of anything anymore. "Oh yes, the nice autistic boy on three"

I'm fortunate, I guess? My next door neighbor (behind me) has a few 'toys' and we have had a few fence line chats.
Our Association VP is on the security team at Parkview Hospital...and is a avid wild bird hunter (duck, pheasant, etc.!)
I try to be subtle (aka, not 'broadcast') what I have or when I'm going shooting, and usually back the truck up to the garage door.
The best part is my garage door is angled away from the main street so, unless you're walking the circle around our cul-de-sac, you'll never actually see me doing much of anything! Low key in the neighborhood might be the best way to describe how I handle things.

My Mexican neighbors know I have guns and they still like me.
but when I carry my pellet rifle to the garden they all do run into their house.

The results from the second experiment highlighted that insecure storage (guns stored unlocked and loaded) significantly decreased the likelihood of future social interactions.
But they omitted that the gun was a Glock

    Not subtle for me...hidden.
I back the truck into the garage when I load up/loadout.

If we ever hit a critical situation (read as: TEOTWAWKI), I don't want anyone coming to me for supplies.
My neighbors know nothing and I intend to keep it that way.
