As was pointed out to me some time back: why is it hardly anyone had heard of this guy before his name was mentioned for speaker? I would think if this meme were true, we’d have heard of him.

We were led to believe, in part, by his own words that he was conservative...he brought up his Christianity...turns out he's nothing but a lapdogto the sewer that I'd the DC uniparty.

I knew who he was years ago. He’s been active in committees. Pretty consistent voice for conservatives for years. The idea that he’s a dem or DC sewer because of this is ignorant.
People who are angry and lobbing insults don’t have a real solution, and most are the same people who supported diminishing the GOP majority since October of last year.

I knew who he was years ago. He’s been active in committees. Pretty consistent voice for conservatives for years. The idea that he’s a dem or DC sewer because of this is ignorant.

I had him followed for years. He’s had some good moments. Certainly a conservative.
He has done some tv, but I wouldn’t throw him in the group that always loves to find a camera.

The guy has a tough job. His caucus makes it almost impossible for him to leverage his thin majority. I’m yet to see anyone provide a realistic path forward on these issues. The only thing that the GOP could have done was the flawed border deal and tried to negotiate from there, but that’s a strategy decision to see if they can get more. Would have required some compromise on the border that most don’t have the stomach for.

I am a little confused by the talk about removing him now, after it is all over and done. Once it was clear that he was going to allow the vote (not sure if he really had a choice), why not move to remove him then before the vote? This now seems to be chest beating.

I despise every word that comes out of Nancy Pelosi's mouth but you have to hand it to her, she knew how to get things done in the House. Republicans are proving once again to be pitiful when it comes to governing.

I stand by my statement that I've made for many years. The republicans aren't actually interested in governing nor winning a majority for that matter. They'd rather be the opposition, so that they can pontificate and collect money off "get me elected to get things done" and not actually have to "do" anything.

For all the posts and links I have posted here it is amazing to me that INGO still doesn’t see the political landscape as it is, and the clearest indication of that is the constant use of the word “they”.

Well, “they” is not who you think it is, but “they” got off their butt, recruited candidates, supported them, worked to get them on the ballot, funded them, all while 75% of red state republicans sat on their butt and didn’t even vote in the primary…
