Early IBM Corp. wartime production 3.6 mil serial #.
All components including trigger group and slide have IBM correct wartime contractor stamps.
The early high wood I cut stock is one of 50K Rock-Ola sent IBM in Sept. of 43. Note you can still make out the IBM ordnance acceptance stamp on the right of butt stock.
Receiver dovetail has flip sight staking only and no signs of an adjustable sight ever being installed. The flip sight is an original IBM sight; not a repop.
No signs on barrel or stock that a T-2 or T-3/Bayonet band was ever installed. Has correct Type-1 2 weld scar barrel band and kv-B marked sling swivel.
No arsenal rebuild marks on stock that I can find.
Chamber & bore are in fantastic condition.
I have never fired it so recommend taking to GS for inspection before doing so. For what it's worth, the bolt does not even come close to closing on a Forster 1.299 Field gauge. Chambered and dry cycled Korea surplus ammo without issue.
MW is ~05 (Essentially gauges like a new barrel)
The only negative is the front sight ears were removed and one of the flip sight leafs was V notched at some point. Not uncommon once they reached civilian hands.
