OK, finally finished working up 22 Remington JET for a S&W Model 53. Interestingly enough, it was close to impossible to find reliable data on this round and even harder to find components. I did get 200 new pieces of brass from PPU (Graf and Sons) and found 200 once-fired Remington cases on Gunbroker about 6 months ago so I should be good to go for a while. I originally bought some 40 grain .224 projectiles that I sized to .2225 and also bought a mold to make 38 grain gas check projectiles. Took me quite a few trials to come up with a combination that worked which turned out to be 3 grains of Unique for the jacketed rounds and 3.5 grains of Unique for the cast bullets. Had a great time developing this round!

Working on a load for my 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm pretty new to reloading, so while I learn the ropes I'm just trying to get a decent hunting round with some 140gr Hornady SST bullets I have. With how expensive 6.5 Creedmoor is nowadays, loading my own is less than half the price of buying factory ammo, lol.

Picked up my Ruger No 1 in .243 yesterday. Making up some 58 grain VMAX rounds with Winchester 760. 3800 fps! I'll make up some rounds with 100 grain Interlocks too.

Those are the bullets I load as well. I just use H4895 though. Very accurate and deadly on coyotes and deer.
When my daughter bought a .243 bolt gun I was worried it wasn't big enough for deer. I bought everything for reloading it before she brought the gun home. Those bullets are tiny! First deer she shot dressed at 187 lbs. Second one dressed 213! Had to get one.

I went to a new outdoor range 50 miles away yesterday. Spent $18 for 5 hours of shooting. Asked what they did with the cases, throw them away. Good thing I had a few buckets in the truck. They have a 25 bay 10 yard pistol, 25 bay 50 foot pistol, 25 bay 100 foot rifle, 25 bay 100 yard rifle and a 20 bay 300 yard rifle. All had a bucket or 2 almost full of cases. I got 7 full plus a half. Used a magnet to remove the steel today. Will sort pistol, rifle, 22's and aluminum tomorrow.

    .222 Remington:

    Standard 50gr. mostly-for the base.
Also some 55gr. and some 40gr. for the highs and lows..

Back in the Day the .222 Remington was taking most of the Bench Rest $$$==Then the 6MM came along and the rest is history....Bill.
