.308 for my Bergara HMR, finally got my MV up to correspond with a Nikon M-308 BDC scope. Putting all my Nosler 168 CC into a group that I can cover with the palm of my hand at 350 yards.

Time to get the press out and load up some 308's for the 1919. Tis the season to be shooting. ;) I feel kinda lazy. I haven't loaded anything in 4-5 months. But I did reload a pretty good supply the last go round. The only thing I am shy on is 308 at the moment.

Welcome back Larry! Haven't seen you around here in quite a while. We missed ya bud!!! :welcome:

Welcome back Larry! Haven't seen you around here in quite a while. We missed ya bud!!! :welcome:

Thanks buddy. I have had a rough winter/spring dealing with some medical issues, then my son and I got in to another big project that has occupied the reloading space. That project is winding down. I am eager to get the press back out! I am doing good enough to finally get to the range this year.

Well, I had a week off work and didn't reload a single thing. I got some 9mm, .38, .45acp,and some .45Colt cleaned up but nothing loaded.

Finally got most every thing done and put away in my new house. With the OT at work, and life in general, reloading was put on hold. I ordered 1000 FMJ 9mm bullets from Everglades Ammo last Monday. I've loaded up almost 700 and have more on the way. I'm prepping 223 brass and cleaning 9mm brass to start prepping it once I'm done prepping all the 223. Its nice to get back into it after the stress and wait of buying a home. Now I'm just hoping the OT starts slowing down at work so I can unload a few rounds.

I just bought 110 gr plated Xtreme bullets, some Winchester 296 powder and some CCI small rifle primers from Deer Creek Gun Range. Going to try .30 carbine reloading this week. Any ever load .30 carbine, what is your favorite load for it?

EDIT:. I'm excited. I spoke with Xtreme and they told me to use Speer's TMJ load data. I then called Speer and was told that I can use a minimum load of 13.0 grains of Winchester 296 and a maximum load of 15.0 with CCI 450 primers and a C.O.L of 1.680. Next step is to start loading.

Well just got the Hornady Ammo Plant set up (very nice I highly recommend for high volume shooters) so now currently loading 115gr standard pressure 9mm, 124gr 9mm Major (for the Czechmate race gun in order to get the comp running) as well as 200gr standard pressure 45ACP.

I just bought some 100gr Xtreme plated bullets to make some "mouse fart" loads for my 9mm. These are actually .380 bullets, but I hear they make great soft shooting 9mm loads. Will be working on some this weekend.

Loaded up some "mouse fart" loads this weekend for my SIG P226 9mm. I used some Xtreme .380 100gr. bullets under 4.3 gr. of HP-38 at 1.045 COAL.

So light to shoot, you can hardly feel any recoil, and the brass basically falls at your feet.

I also tried a 4.2 grain load, and although it cycled perfectly, the 4.3 gr. felt just as light, and gives me a little buffer to make sure the gun cycles.

    At 4.3 gr, I got:

1067 fps with a Power Factor of about 104. The SD was bit high at 36, but I am not too worried about it with these loads.

Like I said, "mouse fart" loads. It felt like shooting a .22!!!

Gonna shoot them at the next Steel Challenge Match since there is no PF number to meet, and this will give me faster followup as long as the gun cycles reliably.

I'm running a batch of .45 ACP with SPP. When I run a normal batch of .45, every time I run into a SPP I toss it into a small bucket. When the bucket fills up, I run a batch of SPP .45 while I'm otherwise focused on 9mm or .40 so I can keep the .45 stock up and not swap primer sizes. As an additional plus, I consider the SPP .45 to be throw away brass and don't worry too much about having to pick every last piece up after shooting.
