Rat snake?
Rat snake?
Rat snake?
Not a copperhead. Doesn't look like a timber rattler to me. Rat snakes have a variety of markings.Really?
It's not a great pic...guy was guessing copperhead, but that would be pretty rare in central Indiana, wouldn't it?
I thought maybe a timber rattler, but can't see the tail and it's touch to tell the shape of the head.
Either would be rare in central.
Nerodia water snake. Harmless but violent.
Interesting...have never even heard of it. The area has a lot of ponds/ springs/ and is near the White River which would seem to make more sense than a copperhead or timber rattler in central INNerodia water snake. Harmless but violent.
Well I'm not sure I'd call them harmless. They have teeth and prone to bite when you try to grab them. They'll leave a mark. Ask me how I know.Nerodia water snake. Harmless but violent.
I have an electric guitar the top is covered with snake skin. I thought it was cool to look at, but it is rough enough to grind the skin off my hand. That snake has cool markings. Wonder if I can get a Hi-Point 10mm Cerakoted in that pattern.
Obviously, hole in the dashboard snake. Duh!

They would have heard the same scream from me, followed by a loud bang, or 5 or 6 depending on my aim that day.Apparently, the guy's wife went out to move the vehicle...jumped in and grabbed the wheel, then the visitor crossed her arm.
I wasn't there, but apparently the scream was so loud folks in the area thought somebody was attacked.
Yes.. those snakes are bitey A-holesNerodia water snake. Harmless but violent.
