Keep in mind it's not a 50% reduction in volume of the rifle, it's a 50% reduction in volume of the rifle with a muzzle brake.Simply removing the muzzle brake and not replacing it with anything could have produced a fairly significant reduction in volume. That reduction is still impressive but not as impressive as it first sounded.
