Ruger that is an interesting idea. I am lucky enough that my house has solid oak doors inside. You are going to break the latch out of the frame before you crack that door!

I had that stuff put on 13 windows and 2 door windows in my house for under $1600. Don't buy a door - do the house.

It's a kevlar film that is applied with a sealant and a track system.

I went with the Madico 800 series film.

For that kind of money you can invest in a couple wireless audio/video cameras with motion sensors that will transmit directly to your TV to warn you long before anyone even gets close to your home.

Helps, right up until you turn off the tv and go to sleep.

Will have to look for the info but we found a place that has bomb proof (as close as 20 ft, IIRC) window films for your home.

If this is not it I will change the link, however I am pretty sure this is the right one.

It hard to completely stop somebody, mostly the hope is to slow them down until they are discovered and delt with.

    :+1:

Wireless alarm systems are quite affordable these days also (i.e. GE Simon 3, XT, etc.) and if one has it monitored there's may be an insurance discount available.

    Security is about layers.
