I've had the itch for a cruiser for a while now. Even though I can technically afford it, I just can't bring myself to spend new Harley money. I am hoping to find a nice used one for a good price, but I'm in no hurry. I'm really not even picky as to the specifics, I'd even roll an old cop bike if I could find one cheap.

Fall is the time to look for sure.

You shouldn't have too much trouble finding some quality used iron when you decide to get serious. There's a ton of low mileage garage candy out there right now. It's definitely a buyer's market.

There was a slick cop bike at the Valpo dealer earlier this year. I tried to talk my buddy in to it, but he already has 2 bikes, a truck, and a mini van for just himself and the dog.

Yup. Plenty of low millage cruisers for good $$ out there.

How serious are you Paul? I'm thinking about (I said thinking about) selling my 2001 Ultra Classic. It will be hard to let it go, but I am considering it.

My 2003 KTM 525 EXC that was plated in Indiana. Sold it last year. Had alot of fun on it on and off road for the 8 years I owned it.

Sounds awesome. I bought a new Street Glide in '11 with only 7 miles on it. I did pretty good riding the first couple of years when I was single. The past 4 years, not so much. My "first date " with my now wife was to Brown county.

Like many people into guns, motorcycle or anything else where bad habits can become common after a few years, I found that I had become too timid in my riding style. I took an advanced riders course last summer and was able to correct many of the habits I picked up after moving from my CBR to a Harley. I plan to take it again this year, because I am really enjoying the ride much more.

Thanks. I plan on putting 12” apes on this spring. I’m big on crazy tall apes, but I’d like something a little taller and with more pullback than the drag bars I have now.
