I would appreciate any opinions on what has worked well for you. I like to focus on the front sight and it is getting quite blurry. I do use cheaters when I need to see things up close (reading, computer screen, etc.)

I know some have the opinion that you should train with how it will be in the real world. With that said, I am interested in trying some safety glasses with magnification and see how I like it or if it is worthwhile.

    Thanks.
I feel your pain, I measured the distance to my front sight, took this information to my eye doctor, explained the leanth I needed to focus at, and she wrote me a prescription for my lenses....

Where about in North East Indiana are you??

I've fought this for years. Not really a fight though, not a real choice in the matter.

I cannot train to "readers up" as part of my self defense draw. Consequently, it would be counter productive to put the cheaters on for better target shooting.

Even if somehow I could get the readers on, moving in them is problematic. Trip over anything and try to run through screens and glass doors.

Amerglo Idot Pro with the big orange dot gets me through. Still blurry, but usable.

That is my struggle. I would like to see the front post in focus, but with practice I am certain I can get by with a blurry sight post.

I just go to Dollar General and buy +1.00 or +1.50 readers. Only use them for serious pistol target shooting.
The upside is they force you to put the front sight in focus. I have a character weakness and want to see the target in focus. It's a hard habit to break.
