    I had wet soil problems with a septic system on a house I used to own. I plumbed the washer drain to not use the septic tank and field.

    As others have mentioned, 4 inches is way too close to the baffle. Cut the pipe back about 3 or 4 inches. All it would take is for a heavy weight to send a long one down the pipe to hang up at the baffle. Talk about a :poop: situation. :):

    My septic tank and dry well set under water in wet springs. Hasn't been pumped in 30 years and then it was caused by young ladies flushing paper products that they shouldn't have. Bleach products kill the bacteria that that disolves the solids and makes the system function properly. But I do agree from the #1 post that the pipe needs cut back. Also the diagram should have the outlet 4" below the inlet.
