Saw a small flock NNW bound either Tuesday or Wednesday, N of Indy.
Was really surprised to see them.

Is this really a sign of spring?
That's around the time I saw a flock. Might have been the same one. Heard them when I was going out to get the mail and looked up and saw them. I love that sound!

There are some near us almost year round. Spring and fall migration there are lots. I see and hear smaller numbers all summer. Heard a couple in December and again Jan & Feb. Beginning to think some of them may be adapting to our climate like geese have done.

We've had buzzards here in Columbia City for almost a week. Robin's gave been here for almost 2 weeks. I have seen any sand hill cranes yet and we always have several in the field across the road from our house
