A customer wants some engraving on a S&W Airlite ti. Anyway, tell me this. Is the frame aluminum, powdercoated and then clear coated? My concern is chipping. Especially on the clear. It doesn't matter if it powdercoated or anodized, because I can get through either, it's just the clear that concerns me. If someone has any wisdom on them, I would appreciate it.
    Thanx

Just a guess, but does the Ti suffix mean titanium? If so, they have a few different surface treatments done for that. Not sure of the compositions, but may give you yet another consideration. :)
