I have been looking for a reduced 30-06 hand load deer round using 4064 and a 130-150 gr bullet. I have read all manner of advice, as such, I am completely confused. Do any of you have a proven recipe for these parameters and any advice working up this load. My range is 200 or less.

Have you checked out the minimum starting loads for that powder and bullets in a reloading manual? Also what type of rifle will you be using? You might check out Hodgdon Reloading Center online.

There are powders designed to load reduced power loads. Trailboss and Shooters World Buffalo Rifle are two that come to mind. You can also track down some IMR 5744 or similar powder. Most of these are out of production currently and tend to be pricey, but it's safer to use them than just cutting the standard powder charge by half. That's just not safe.
