Recommendations for under $100 optic/red dot for AR

I like the primary arms micro dot. I've shot thousands of rounds with no issues on either of mine.

The Bushnell TRS-25 is a great little sight. Definitely recommend it.

The TRS-25 with riser is $115. It is a great red dot with 3000 hour battery life. I found one once at GM on sale for $90.....

Thanks ingo and sloughfoot for the recommendation... Need a new dot for the 10/22 the kids use. Found one of these for $55 at primary arms!

The AR with or without the front sight needs the riser. The AR is designed to have a tall sight. I hope I understood your question correctly.

Yup! You understood me correctly. Now for my next stupid question. Are the risers just one height or are they different? And if they are different which size would you recommend?

Not a stupid question, I only have experience with the TRS-25 with the factory riser. It is the perfect height. You can just buy one and run it without worry.

Just ordered a TRS-25 after reading this thread for around $55. I tried the cheap route and I really got what I paid for. So the manufacturer will be getting that back very soon.
