I picked up a NIB Sig 522 of a INGO member and finally had a chance to get to the indoor range with it today.
I cleaned and lubed the bolt before hitting the range and clamped on a low-dollar NC-Star red-dot.
I had a couple of bobbles at the mid-point of the magazine where the mag wouldn't push the round up high enough to get stripped out. After the 3rd magazine it stopped doing that and ran like a champ for the rest of the session.
I was shooting the range's min-mag HP's and the gun shoots way more accurately than I can hold it off-hand. Eventually I'll get it on a set of bags and get the red-dot exactly where I want it.
Highly recommend it, it's fun and easy to shoot - is AR-like-enough that you don't have to think about it.
I shoot long-guns left handed and the ambi safety combined with ambi mag-release makes me happy.
