Pre-Season Hunting Rifle Sales

Last year I heard from folks on the west coast that Sportsman's (something) had some pretty good sales on your typical budget (Mossberg, Ruger, Savage) firearms with rebates before the hunting season out there. Sounds like I could have gotten a scope combo for around $300 when all said and done (110's might have been only like $50-$75 more)

Did we have anything like that, and if so when and where? Thinking of picking up a 350 or 450 combo to mess around with

Cabela's has Savage Axis combos for $399.99 but that seems to be the regular price.

Keep an eye on the used listings in the classifieds. While there’s plenty foisting overpriced Tupperware on there, you can also find some steals on proven rifles. Most of my hunting rifles came used, and some of them shoot absolutely lights out.
