    Any news, MonkeyMan?
I actually just talked to the wife a few mins ago about him. His fever broke, but nothing else has improved. Still sedated and on a vent.

Looking at a glass half full, at least there is a teeny tiny bit of improvement. A baby step, but still a step forward.

    Final update hopefully.

He is doing much better. Still in the hospital, but off the vent and resting and recovering.

There are a still unanswered questions about his future (home vs nursing home, etc) but he is doing very well considering.

    Thanks for the prayers.

Oh, and the working theory is severe heat stroke that induced a TIA. Still not sure what caused the fever. Possibly something else underlying.

I didn't want to start thread for this alone so I hope cameramonkey won't be offended by my putting it here.

Don't normally do this outside family (but you all are family), but a prayer for my wife would be appreciated. She's having a procedure done, that she has had before but her behavior this time is different. Polyp removal, and I really do not want us to find out that it is any more than routine.

A quick prayer would be appreciated
