Post Office marking firearm related items?

I ordered a set of XS big dots for my Glock 26 from Amazon. Package came today it was marked 2A on the top with a red marker, my name and address was also circled with the red marker? Is this normal policy to mark things as gun related? I am assuming that's what the 2a marking is? Any postal workers want to weigh in

Sounds very reasonable although it was just in the mailbox and did not require signature?

I would say it has more to do with a routing number so your package got on the right truck.
