Do those that have an issue with the LEO in this situation have an issue with him even approaching them? Or is it because he had his firearm drawn?

It seems to me that those who have an issue with LEO's actions should actually be upset with the private citizens, who through past actions, have turned 2 guys looking at a gun into suspicious activity. There is a precedence of poor behavior and illegal activity with guns that gives rational people good reason to be suspicious...especially at a gas station. As for his gun being unholstered and not pointed at the OP...tell me you wouldn't do the same when approaching 2 strangers with a gun.
