Pig tails

So this morning I was getting my daughter ready to go to daycare and was brushing her hair when Mrs OrangeITlady asked me to put her hair up in pig tails. Being the good dad that I am I grab some zip ties and proceeded with my assigned task and started to wonder why they are called pig tails. Pigs have one tail and they are Curley I'm confused why they are called as so.

The zip ties sound like a good idea. My little rug rat won't keep anything in her hair for more than a few minutes. I might have to try this.

I am a little disappointed though that this wasn't about bacon.

As I understand, pigs that are all happy and destressed don't have curly tails; they're actually straight, but that was something I saw on TV many years ago, and I'm kind of demented, so it may be a little off.

I can not do this. she might as well be asking me to properly color-match tights, dress, shoes, coat and hair accessories. Not possible.

That is exactly how I feel. I gave it a try but it looked like her hair meet up with a weed eater

Hose clamps work REAL well.
You just have to be real careful when you tighten it up with the cordless drill...
