    Here is a link to the data if anybody is interested. The actual power demand does go over the cleared demand a couple of times on the 21st and 22nd.

    Shutting down power to 14 thousand in Lafayette is a little fishy I'll admit. I am not sure how much that would help the grid but its certainly lowering demand.

    Power companies keep minimal maintenance crew nowadays.
    They have crews that will travel State to State in emergencies.
    Then, they have a small maintenance crew for day to day maintenance.
    I get that.. it's 2022. It's ass backwards, but then again so is shutting power plants, so I'm not surprised.
