I need to set up my new modem but I'm scared. I'm afraid I'll mess it up and won't be able to connect to work.

Phone connects to wifi at the hospital, no problem. Laptop will not connect. I've never figured it out.

No, not really. I have to unplug the old one and connect the new one. I just watched the demo video and it looks simple enough. I think I'm gonna go for it. If I disappear and don't come back, you'll know it didn't work.

Reminds me of the days of IRC when people would ask for windows help and they'd suggest pressing "ALT+F4" as a solution. Then you'd see them disconnect....

I'm back! Had to call Xfinity and have them do it. Unplugged the old modem then brought up the app on the phone. Went to activate the modem and the app said "You're offline". I'm like, well no **** Sherlock! If I was online, I wouldn't have to set up the modem, now would I??

Time for me to head to bed. Tired of messing with Xfinity stuff. The app is worthless. I log in to try and reset my modem through the app like I used to be able to do. Now it doesn't know that my modem has been activated, so when I go to the Internet section, the only option presented to me is "activate modem or gateway".
