Opening weekend. Bust so far

Missed 1 opening day still trying to get used to the h&rail tracker 2. Only had a front shot and would not turn so I took it shot below his right lung. Went this morning didn't see anything heading back out in a few to try again may try a diffrent spot. This time been hunting on the top of a hill by a creek and there beds. May try over by the cornfield that has been picked.

his first deer

on his first hunt. Enfield 303 iron sights 80 yards. I sold his parents the gun so he would have a good birthday, I am sure proud of my 14 year old neighbor.

I hunted on another INGOer's place with about a dozen other guys. Everyone killed at least one except for two guys who are looking for trophies. One nice 12 pointer was killed and the property owner got an 8 pointer with the thickest times I've ever seen on a deer around here.

Overall a good first weekend and there were lots of deer moving at all hours.

we got in 66 to process yesterday and over 100 today, pickups were lined up all day to unload. running out of cooler space and people to skin.
