lmfao. good thing everyone is entittled to have there own opinion. Would it have made a difference if I started out saying "with all do respect"????

But seriously. First impression is everything. And to be honest they wouldnt be my first choice if I had to pick a group of guys to represent LEGAL gun owners. :ingo:

your missing the point. we dont need to have a group to represent us. the 2nd ammendment does that. all im saying is that these guys are regular americans, and maybe someone wearing a suit wont get stopped for wearing a gun because he looks nice, but what about when i wear sweat pants to get my news paper and throw on my shoulder holster?? I look weird too but does that mean im un fit to represent gun owners? thats not my job, i am my own person. you cant generalize. if these guys would have been waving their pistols around in their hands then id say they are unfit, but they all had holstered weapons and even the AR was in a safe carry possition and didnt muzzle anyone.

these guys didnt go try to have a peaceful meal to be a representaton for gun owners all around america. they had been doing the same thing for 2 years the guy said, and never a problem. they just were being ordinary and normal. if they wanted to cause a scene and be radical then they would have been wearing tac vest and helmets.

oh and to your last statement. i dont need to impress anyone. i carry a gun to protect myself, not to make an impression. as long as i follow the law then im making a good impression. period

Then, I began to argue with myself. Why? What is the difference? If someone is disgusted that they carried an AR15 into Ponderosa, wouldn't they be equally disgusted if that person had been carrying a handgun. Why is there such a significant difference?

actually the ar did make the difference the property owner said he gave them permission to oc the handguns no problem:yesway:. its when they showed up with the ar he said no... they had to push what he said they could do and guess what his property...... i think this could have been a positive oc event good for the sheeple like every other non confrontational oc . the key to changing minds is exposure but not all exposure is good. why not eat be seen (oc handguns) and leave all:yesway:... not show up get cops called look like radical:noway: ether way the cops were in the wrong but the sheep wont care about that only we do

the ar15 was a stupid move. just becasue you can do it doesnt mean you should. just beause they make womens and men thongs in a size 58 doesnt mean you should wear it on the beach. it took decades to prove to ppl that the world wasnt flat and that universe didnt revolve around the earth. baby steps for the sheep. they scare easy.

How in the world do you know they come in a size 58?

why is the front man in situations like this always 450 puonds? oh yeah, the AR was kinda a stupid decision. the police handled it wrong and the presumed 2A supporters were tools. GOD HELP US this doesn't get out because it paints a very ugly picture for those who don't know better. i'm all for protecting rights but this may have taken us a step back.

Now what part of the constitution guarantees that law abiding citizens can wear size 58 thongs? That is what I want to know.

Okay, I'm kinda new here, so I'm not sure what the right response is for that picture.

    A. I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. :n00b:

    B. I'd show her my LONG gun.

Either way, I think I just found a new avitar photo!

As for the OP, I don't carry, but understand they can't conceal. The AR was taking it a little far, but still within rights. If the reseaturant decided to throw them out, it's their right too and the LEOs didn't handle it very well. Should have just escorted them off the property and told them to have a good day. My :twocents:.

Everyone remember how it was at one time legal to open carry your guns loaded in California? Then the Black panthers decided they were going to practice their legal right to open carry their loaded guns. Then almost over night they no longer had that legal right any more.

I'm sorry but I just see things like those videos as motivation for people to sit down and decide this law that allows us to open carry needs changed.

It's like they are trying to get the law changed against us. They already have the right to do it. Why forcefully shove it in every ones face? I don't see what we as gun owners have to gain by doing that.

I like our gun rights, I personally do not believe that the anti gun people need any more motivation to start taking those rights away.

On a side note, The cops handled the situation very badly.

On a side note, The cops handled the situation very badly.

Samuel Longhorn Clemens (better known as Mark Twain) once said, "A man who does not read good books has no advantage over a man who does not know how to read." So how is acting as if it were already against the law any better than it actually being against the law?

Is it that you like our gun rights so long as they are not actually exercised? Or is it that you only see carrying as a "right" unless the gun is hidden?

"If a man neglect to enforce his rights, he has only himself to blame if, after a while, the law follows his example." Oliver Wendell Holmes.

Oh, and the restriction on OC of loaded firearms inside California is only inside incorporated areas (that means inside various cities "corporation limit") that leaves a lot of the State where open carry is entirely legal. (Quick search has not turned up when the relevant law was passed.)

And given the state of California's gun laws and the way they have been moving over the course of decades the drawing of a causal link between any particular group engaging in legal open carry and the passing of additional restrictions is engaging in the fallacy of "post hoc ergo propter hoc." California has the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. Is it really any surprise that their open carry laws are also restrictive?

Yet, strangely enough, California's open carry laws are not the most restrictive open carry laws in the nation. Texas, as just one example, does not allow open carry at all, nor do Oklahoma, Arkansas, Illinois, Florida, South Carolina, DC, and New York. Somehow I don't see groups of people open carrying in these states and scaring the sheeple being the cause of each of these States (and the District) passing their laws forbidding open carry.
