    Hello NWI...

Are there any private ranges around here to shoot steel?

Been out of the gun scene for a long time, just finished 4 builds.

    7.5" 300BLK
    7.5" 5.56
    16" 5.56
    10.5" 22LR

I need to get them all sighted in..

REAL Eotech XPS 2.2 on both 5.56, XPS 2.0 on 300 and Chinacom Eotech Clone and Magnifier on 22LR

Got a 458 Socom I have yet to shoot too, no ammo

"Indiana State Police advise motorists of a traffic slow down beginning at 1 pm on I-94 from the Michigan state line to Burns Harbor. Troopers will be slowing WB traffic in order for multiple INDOT plows to clear the roadway of snow. Motorists are advised to anticipate delays as all WB lanes will be affected."
Went to the store and picked up the kid from preschool and crossed over 94 where westbound was a ghost town. On the way back, crawling traffic. Glad it wasn't me.

Whoops, just checked maps and 94 from the Chesterton exit to the Porter exit is closed. Explains the uptick in traffic on 20.

I will keep your son in my thoughts.
It's disgusting that "Covid" creates such a problem.
    Thanks

I just got him back home. He was released after 1 night. In the hospital for about 30 total hours.

Given the crap roads coming south out of the city I would have preferred they kept him 1 more night just to avoid the weather but that is not how hospitals work, especially when beds are at a premium.

They were taking their time so finally at NOON I told the nurse, after she confirmed he would be released, that I wanted to be on the road before 2pm so we could get home before dark (yes, I did exaggerate the drive to Indiana). After that she got us the discharge papers and it still took 2.5 hours to get out of the building.

Once you hit about noon, it's surprising how many things they try to push off until after 3:00. Discharges, meds, requests to speak with the doctor...

Nothing was happening so I figured I'd use the snow and the general ignorance of Chicago people to my advantage. Constantly amazes me that Chicago people don't realize how close the city is to NWI

    So, gun issues are nonpartisan?
Last time I looked (pre election):
    • Democratic party platform calls for banning certain weapons, restrictions on all weapons and ammo.
    • Socialist platform called for bans and curtailed ownership
    • Republicans claim to favor gun rights in their platform
    • Libertarians claim to favor gun rights in their platform
