Wife found out at American Sale, when purchasing the kid's tyrannosaurus swingset, about all the shortages. Pool people, you might want to go get your chlorine asap. Apparently that is also a shortage, and what is in the stores is it. They are not expecting to get any deliveries for quite a while either.

"All lanes of eastbound US 12 are closed at SR 249 due to an overturned semi hauling steel coils. Avoid the area and seek an alternate route."

    Not so much overturned.

We we're told the same thing at Water Way in Portage, get your chemicals now if you want your pool open this year. Also if you need a new liner it's going to be rough due to the chloride used in the manufacturing being in short supply.

Use a Chlorine generator and all you need to do is add SALT to your pool, the generator turns salt water in chlorine!

It was just confirmed by a friend in SE Indiana. They have no dog in this fight because they switched to salt water a couple years ago.

Just use a pillow case or a couple coffee filters. No one will ever know.
    I use a washable filter.

Simply hose it off and replace it if I'm in a hurry. I think it cost about $100. I have 2 of them. Swap in a clean one, pull out the dirty. Depending upon rain, trees dropping crap into the pool, etc, a clean filter will last me 2 to 3 weeks.

Soaking the filter in a mild solution of Muratic Acid and Water will clean it the lazy way too. I just put it into a plastic trash can, add about a pint of muriatic acid to the 30+ gallons of water an it can soak overnight. Pull it out and rinse it with the hose.

The 2 filters I have have lasted for 4 or 5 years (and probably will last a couple more years)

We like the Chlorox tru blue, or whatever the heck it's called, chlorine granules. I had a gut feeling on this and ordered a 2-3 year supply back in January.

Got the hole in the ceiling patched up with the first layer of mud, and got the yard ready for dirt to be delivered tomorrow. 8 days to go till baby 2 arrives.
