Couple of years ago I did about 6 months in the UP for work. North of Houghton is pretty poor looking , but Copper Harbor was pretty nice..
If you had a 4 wheel drive I would suggest going up 41 to where it ends. Taking the trail through the woods you end up an a peninsula on Superior, It was really nice out there.

I think south of Mackinac is a nicer area. My mom grew up in Boyne City and I still have a bit of family in the Boyne/Petoskey area. We actually considered moving up there about ten years ago, but there were no year-round jobs except retail since it's a resort area.

Thanks. I can see why the previous owner chose those Hogue grips. I was going to put rosewood grips on her, but they fit my hand really well. Now to clean her up...'holster fuzz' and such is still OEM. I'm still a sucker for original grips like on that '94.

Pierogi festivities were enjoyed by all. *belch*

    KAHR CM9 if you're wondering.
I bought mine long enough ago they only had 10 round mags. Still have Hogue grips on it, and 4 10 round mags. If I shot it more, I'd get upgraded mags, but it's usually just helping new shooters.

Took a ride over to Bolingbrook,IL to go to the Weather Tech Factory Outlet to pick up some stuff for the wife's car and couldn't believe how big it was with at least a dozen warehouses in the area. The showroom looked like a yuppie hangout with all the fancy car stuff on display and the line of people coming and going never stopped. Paid for my order and got one of those flashing pagers like in the restaurants for when my order was ready to be picked up.

RAMP CLOSURE – I-94 and I-65 in Lake County

"The ramp connecting westbound I-94 with southbound I-65 in Lake County is closing Monday for approximately seven days while crews do a bridge deck overlay.

The detour will have drivers use the ramps at SR 53 (Broadway) to get to eastbound I-94 and access southbound I-65."

Or currently, meet off a Lake Station, to Central, to MLK, to Ridge, to 65-S

I heard about the closure in the middle of last week and thought what a cluster for the traffic to try and get around.

    Looking for a recommendation.

I have some busted up concrete to get rid of. My son just got done breaking up a 4 x 5 pad at the back door of the garage (that serve no purpose other than funneling water up against the foundation). It was 4 to 8 inches thick. I also have some old cast concrete landscape blocks from a fire pit I want to get rid of.

Any suggestions? I have no problem loading, transporting and unloading- I just need a place to dump it.
