Damn it is cold! All of my critters are still kicking out there. Although it is finally cold enough that the dogs gave up and went into the shed with the goats.

    That can't be good.

    I don't have water.
    :(
I hope you get your pipes thawed without damage.
Off topic.. regarding the INGO/DNR youth shoot, I am trying to get time off to attend-sounds like a good time. What are the actual times volunteers should be there ? 7am-2pm about right ? thanks for any info

They are an hour ahead of us so 8am there is 7am here. It runs from 8-12 and we like volunteers to be there around 7am. I usually try to leave around 5am central time to be there by 7am eastern since we're losing an hour

For those of you who have chickens, this may be too little too late, but I saw this on facebook today. Somebody set it up in their garage

Wife seen that today as well. Might pick up a cheap tent for next time we have a cold snap like this, although no garage so they'd have to go in the basement. Mine survived and seemed just fine with the weather. Gave them lots of proteins and starches to help keep them warm thru the night and day.

Volunteers arrive at 7 Eastern DST, 6 Central DST, to help set up. The shoot is from 8 - 12. Some stay after to shoot on our own.
