    Any wood workers in here?
Don't get all excited pervs... talking carpentry type woodworking

I'm VERY new to it and wondering were to buy good quality hardwoods/plywoods for workshop benches, tool storage, and cabinets. I know buying from the box store is exile.
For your hardwoods keep an eye on facebook marketplace. I have found a couple of local guys that mill and will give a fair price. For exotics try online, and for plywood try cabinet making type shops. If I need to find something specific, Shroeder Hardwoods in Harvey is pretty reasonable.

The ground cable did it's job. But the cable is grown into the tree 4 inches. The box outside my house is what blew up when it got hit last night. I saw sparks and flashing and the boom.

This tree is 3 poles down. This is all telephone wiring.

However my internet is still down but it's on on this line. It's drapped over this line. I'm assuming it fried my line anyway

I had a nearby lightning strike once, actually closer to my neighbor's house, took out the motherboard on one of my computers and one of his garage door openers of all things.

I had not thought to try FB marketplace. Great idea. Thank you

Woodworking is a hobby, and many on this board have built beautiful things as seen here.

Carpentry is the trade by which I have housed, fed and clothed my family for over forty years.

I have nothing against woodworkers, I just do not consider myself one.

Jay at state lumber can find just about anything.
